Two forces F_1 and F_2 are acting on different directions, find the resultant force F_R .

$${Two}\:{forces}\:{F}_{\mathrm{1}} \:{and}\:{F}_{\mathrm{2}} \:{are}\:{acting}\:{on}\:{different}\:{directions}, \\ $$$${find}\:{the}\:{resultant}\:{force}\:{F}_{{R}} . \\ $$

F_R =300i +200(−i) =100i  ∣F_R ∣=100N    direction +ve x axis

$${F}_{{R}} =\mathrm{300}{i}\:+\mathrm{200}\left(−{i}\right)\:=\mathrm{100}{i} \\ $$$$\mid{F}_{{R}} \mid=\mathrm{100}{N}\:\: \\ $$$${direction}\:+{ve}\:{x}\:{axis} \\ $$
