area of triangle=(1/2)×8×15=(1/2)×8×r+(1/2)×15×r+(1/2)×17×r  8×15=8r+15r+17r  40r=120  r=3  hyp=(√(8^2 +15^2 )) =17

$${area}\:{of}\:{triangle}=\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}×\mathrm{8}×\mathrm{15}=\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}×\mathrm{8}×{r}+\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}×\mathrm{15}×{r}+\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}×\mathrm{17}×{r} \\ $$$$\mathrm{8}×\mathrm{15}=\mathrm{8}{r}+\mathrm{15}{r}+\mathrm{17}{r} \\ $$$$\mathrm{40}{r}=\mathrm{120} \\ $$$${r}=\mathrm{3} \\ $$$${hyp}=\sqrt{\mathrm{8}^{\mathrm{2}} +\mathrm{15}^{\mathrm{2}} }\:=\mathrm{17} \\ $$
