$$letthenumbersbexandy$$$$x:y=3:5$$$$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{5}\Rightarrow x=\frac{3y}{5}....\left(1\right)$$$$(x+10):(y+10)=5:7$$$$\Rightarrow x=\frac{5}{7}(y+10)-10\left(2\right)$$$$\frac{3y}{5}=\frac{5y+50-70}{7}\left[from\left(1\right)and\left(2\right)\right]$$$$\Rightarrow 21y=25y-100$$$$\Rightarrow y=25$$$$x=3\left(25\right)/5=15\left[from\left(1\right)\right]$$
