Question Number 4905 by 123456 last updated on 20/Mar/16

f(x)=0 is a even function or a odd function?

$${f}\left({x}\right)=\mathrm{0}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{a}\:\mathrm{even}\:\mathrm{function}\:\mathrm{or}\:\mathrm{a}\:\mathrm{odd}\:\mathrm{function}? \\ $$

This is indeterminate I think since f(x)=0 satisfies both f(x)=−f(x)=0 and f(−x)=0=f(x).

$${This}\:{is}\:{indeterminate}\:{I}\:{think}\:{since}\:{f}\left({x}\right)=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$${satisfies}\:{both}\:{f}\left({x}\right)=−{f}\left({x}\right)=\mathrm{0} \\ $$$${and}\:{f}\left(−{x}\right)=\mathrm{0}={f}\left({x}\right). \\ $$
