$$radiusquadrant=Rradiussemicircle=r$$$$r^2+{\left(r\sqrt{2}\right)}^2=R^2$$$$3r^2=R^2$$$$\frac{areasemicircle}{areaquadrant}=\frac{\frac{\pi r^2}{2}}{\frac{\pi R^2}{4}}=\frac{2r^2}{R^2}=\frac{2r^2}{3r^2}=\frac{2}{3}$$
