If cosθ = x   and  sin60 = 0.5  Find the value of θ

$${If}\:{cos}\theta\:=\:{x}\:\:\:{and}\:\:{sin}\mathrm{60}\:=\:\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{5} \\ $$$${Find}\:{the}\:{value}\:{of}\:\theta \\ $$

sin60≠0.5

$$\mathrm{sin60}\neq\mathrm{0}.\mathrm{5} \\ $$

sin 60°=((√3)/2)  cos 60°=(1/2)

$$\mathrm{sin}\:\mathrm{60}°=\frac{\sqrt{\mathrm{3}}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{cos}\:\mathrm{60}°=\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$

θ = arccos(x) = cos^(−1) (x)

$$\theta\:=\:\mathrm{arccos}\left({x}\right)\:=\:\mathrm{cos}^{−\mathrm{1}} \left({x}\right) \\ $$
