$$A=A^t$$$$\left[\begin{array}{cc}4& x+2\\ 2x-3& x+1\end{array}\right]=\left[\begin{array}{cc}4& 2x-3\\ x+2& x+1\end{array}\right]$$$$x+2=2x-3$$$$x=5$$
