f(3) = f(4 − 1) = 2(4^3 ) − 3(4^2 ) + 7(4) + 10

$${f}\left(\mathrm{3}\right)\:=\:{f}\left(\mathrm{4}\:−\:\mathrm{1}\right)\:=\:\mathrm{2}\left(\mathrm{4}^{\mathrm{3}} \right)\:−\:\mathrm{3}\left(\mathrm{4}^{\mathrm{2}} \right)\:+\:\mathrm{7}\left(\mathrm{4}\right)\:+\:\mathrm{10} \\ $$
