to arrange n numbers there are n! ways.  such that k numbers are together there  are (n−k+1)!k! ways.  ⇒p=(((n−k+1)!k!)/(n!))=((n−k+1)/((n!)/((n−k)!k!)))=((n−k+1)/(^n C_k ))
