$$roots:\alpha ,\beta$$$$\alpha +\beta =7$$$$\alpha \beta =-9$$$${(\alpha -\beta )}^2={(\alpha +\beta )}^2-4\alpha \beta =7^2-4(-9)=85$$$$\Rightarrow \mid \alpha -\beta \mid =\sqrt{85}=answer$$
