$$\mathrm{the}\mathrm{length}\mathrm{of}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{scales}:$$$$\frac{75}{300}=\frac{1}{4}\Rightarrow -75\mathrm{\%}$$$$\mathrm{but}\mathrm{usually}\mathrm{the}\mathrm{area}\mathrm{is}\mathrm{calculated}$$$$\frac{{75}^2}{{300}^2}=\frac{1}{16}\Rightarrow -93.75\mathrm{\%}$$
