$$AD=\sqrt{{AB}^2-{BD}^2}=\sqrt{{30}^2-{24}^2}=18$$$$\frac{DC}{BD}=\frac{BD}{AD}$$$$\Rightarrow DC=\frac{{BD}^2}{AD}=\frac{{24}^2}{18}=32$$
