If g=10m/s^2 then in the last second distance traveled is (1/2)gt^2 = 5m irrespective of the value of u. Only u should be such that it goes at least 5m high; ⇒ u≥10m/s.

$${If}\:{g}=\mathrm{10}{m}/{s}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$${then}\:{in}\:{the}\:{last}\:{second}\:{distance} \\ $$$${traveled}\:{is}\:\:\frac{\mathrm{1}}{\mathrm{2}}{gt}^{\mathrm{2}} =\:\mathrm{5}{m} \\ $$$${irrespective}\:{of}\:{the}\:{value}\:{of}\:{u}. \\ $$$${Only}\:{u}\:{should}\:{be}\:{such}\:{that}\:{it} \\ $$$${goes}\:{at}\:{least}\:\mathrm{5}{m}\:{high};\:\Rightarrow\:{u}\geqslant\mathrm{10}{m}/{s}. \\ $$
