3^(log_3 (4x^2 +3)) +4^(log_2 (x^2 −1)) =49  ⇒4x^2 +3+(x^2 −1)^2 =49  ⇒x^4 −2x^2 +1+4x^2 +3−49=0  ⇒x^4 +2x^2 −45=0  ⇒x^2 =((−2±(√(4+180)))/2)=((−2±2(√(46)))/2)=−1±(√(46))  ⇒x=±(√((√(46))−1))  ⇒a=(√((√(46))−1)),b=−(√((√(46))−1))  ⇒a+b=0
