Three school children share some   oranges as follows: Akwasi gets (1/3) of  the total and the remainder is shared  between Abena and Juana in the ratio  2: 3 . If Abena gets 24 oranges , how  many does Akwasi get.

Akwasi gets =( 24×(5/2))×(1/2)  = 30

Akwasigets=(24×52)×12=30

Number of oranges: n  Akwssi gets (n/3)  Remaining:n− (n/3)=((2n)/3)  Abena gets (((2n)/3)/5)×2,which is equal to 24         (((2n)/3)/5)×2=24      ((2n)/3)=24×(5/2)=60       (n/3)=((60)/2)=30  Akwasi gets 30 oranges.

Numberoforanges:nAkwssigetsn3Remaining:nn3=2n3Abenagets2n35×2,whichisequalto242n35×2=242n3=24×52=60n3=602=30Akwasigets30oranges.

Number of  oranges: x   (((Akwsi),(             Abena),(        Juana)),(,(Remaining×(2/5)),(Remaining×(3/5)),((   x/3),( (2x/3)×(2/5)=24),(     (2x/3)×(3/5))) )     (2x/3)×(2/5)=24  x/3=((24×(5/2))/2)=((60)/2)=30  Akwasi gets 30 oranges.
