$$\mathrm{Let}{\mathrm{maira}}^{\prime }\mathrm{s}\mathrm{age}=\mathrm{x}$$$$\mathrm{Let}{\mathrm{shaheena}}^{\prime }\mathrm{s}\mathrm{age}=\mathrm{y}$$$$\therefore \mathrm{x}+\mathrm{y}=40$$$$\mathrm{Here},\mathrm{x}=40-\mathrm{y}$$$$\mathrm{after}10\mathrm{years},\mathrm{maira}=\mathrm{x}+10$$$$\mathrm{after}10\mathrm{years},\mathrm{shaheena}=\mathrm{y}+10$$$$\therefore \mathrm{x}+10=2(\mathrm{y}+10)$$$$\therefore \mathrm{x}+10=2\mathrm{y}+20$$$$\therefore 40-\mathrm{y}+10=2\mathrm{y}+20$$$$\therefore 50-\mathrm{y}=2\mathrm{y}+20$$$$\therefore 2\mathrm{y}+\mathrm{y}=50-20$$$$\therefore 3\mathrm{y}=30$$$$\therefore \mathrm{y}=\frac{30}{3}$$$$\therefore \mathrm{y}=10$$$$\mathrm{Then},\mathrm{x}=40-10$$$$\mathrm{Then},\mathrm{x}=30$$$$\therefore {\mathrm{maira}}^{\prime }\mathrm{s}\mathrm{age}=30$$$$\therefore {\mathrm{shaheena}}^{\prime }\mathrm{s}\mathrm{age}=10$$
