find minimum value of ∣x−y∣ +(√((x−3)^2 +(y+1)^2 ))

findminimumvalueofxy+(x3)2+(y+1)2

Answered by john santu last updated on 03/Mar/20

the minimum value we get when x = y ⇒ let f(x,y)= ∣x−y∣+(√((x−3)^2 +(y+1)^2 )) ⇒ 0 + (√((x−3)^2 +(x+1)^2 )) ⇒ (√(x^2 −6x+9+x^2 +2x+1)) ⇒(√(2x^2 −4x+10)) = (√(2(x^2 −2x+5))) = (√(2((x−1)^2 +4))) ≥ (√(2.4)) ≥ 2(√2) minimum value 2(√2) ⇐ the answer
