sin x+cos x=(1/2)  a=sin x,b=cos x  a+b=(1/2)  a^2 +b^2 =1  (a+b)^3 =a^3 +3a^2 b+3ab^2 +b^3   a^2 +ab=(a/2)  ab+b^2 =(b/2)  (a+b)^2 =((a+b)/2)=(1/4)  a^2 b+ab^2 =((ab)/2)  (a+b)^2 =a^2 +2ab+b^2   (1/4)=a^2 +b^2 +2ab=1+2ab  2ab=(1/4)−1=−(3/4)  ab=−(3/8)  3(a^2 b+ab^2 )=3∙((ab)/2)=((3ab)/2)=−(9/(16))  (a+b)^3 =a^3 +b^3 +3(a^2 b+ab^2 )  (1/8)=a^3 +b^3 −(9/(16))  a^3 +b^3 =(1/8)+(9/(16))=((2+9)/(16))=((11)/(16))

just corrections,you made a mistake in  2ab=−(3/4)  ab=−(3/4)?   it must be ab=−(3/8)

sinx+cosx=(1/2),  sin^3 x+cos^3 x=...?  (sinx+cosx)^2 =((1/2))^2   sin^2 x+cos^2 x+2sinxcosx=(1/4)  1+2sinxcosx=(1/4)  sinxcosx=−(3/8)  sin^3 x+cos^3 x=(sinx+cosx)^3 −3sinxcosx(sinx+cosx)                                =((1/2))^3 −3×(((−3)/8))×((1/2))                                =(1/8)+(9/(16))                                =((11)/(16))   OR  sin^3 x+cos^3 x=(sinx+cosx)(sin^2 x−sinxcosx+cos^2 x)                                =((1/2))(1−(−(3/8)))                                =((1/2))(((11)/8))                                =((11)/(16))
