y=kx^2   8=4k  ⇒  k=2  ⇒ y=2x^2   ⇒  x^2 =4(((2+a)/8))y = (y/2)  ⇒  a=2 .

$${y}={kx}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\mathrm{8}=\mathrm{4}{k}\:\:\Rightarrow\:\:{k}=\mathrm{2}\:\:\Rightarrow\:{y}=\mathrm{2}{x}^{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\:\:{x}^{\mathrm{2}} =\mathrm{4}\left(\frac{\mathrm{2}+{a}}{\mathrm{8}}\right){y}\:=\:\frac{{y}}{\mathrm{2}} \\ $$$$\Rightarrow\:\:{a}=\mathrm{2}\:. \\ $$
