$$x^{x^4}=64$$$$letu=x^4$$$$\Rightarrow x=u^{\frac{1}{4}}$$$$x^u=64$$$$u^{\frac{u}{4}}=64$$$$u^u={64}^4=8^8$$$$\Rightarrow u=8$$$$\Rightarrow x=\sqrt[4]{8}$$

$${\left(x^{x^a}\right)}^a={\left(x^a\right)}^{x^a}$$$$hence{\left(x^{x^4}\right)}^4={\left(5\right)}^4$$$${\left(x^4\right)}^{x^4}=5^4={\left(\sqrt{5}\right)}^8$$$$x^4=\sqrt{5}\to x=\sqrt[8]{5}$$
