Find the area bounded by 3x+4y=12 and the coordinate axes?

$${Find}\:{the}\:{area}\:{bounded}\:{by}\:\mathrm{3}{x}+\mathrm{4}{y}=\mathrm{12} \\ $$$${and}\:{the}\:{coordinate}\:{axes}? \\ $$

3x+4y=12 is a straight line x=0 ⇒ y=3 y=0 ⇒ x=4 area is ((3×4)/2)=6

$$\mathrm{3}{x}+\mathrm{4}{y}=\mathrm{12}\:\mathrm{is}\:\mathrm{a}\:\mathrm{straight}\:\mathrm{line} \\ $$$${x}=\mathrm{0}\:\Rightarrow\:{y}=\mathrm{3} \\ $$$${y}=\mathrm{0}\:\Rightarrow\:{x}=\mathrm{4} \\ $$$$\mathrm{area}\:\mathrm{is}\:\frac{\mathrm{3}×\mathrm{4}}{\mathrm{2}}=\mathrm{6} \\ $$
