suppose x players were from 20 to 30 (both includive) years old. then 8−x were less than 20 and 7−x were more than 30 years old. (8−x)+x+(7−x)=11 x=4

$$\mathrm{suppose}\:\mathrm{x}\:\mathrm{players}\:\mathrm{were}\:\mathrm{from}\:\mathrm{20}\:\mathrm{to} \\ $$$$\mathrm{30}\:\left(\mathrm{both}\:\mathrm{includive}\right)\:\mathrm{years}\:\mathrm{old}. \\ $$$$\mathrm{then}\:\mathrm{8}−\mathrm{x}\:\mathrm{were}\:\mathrm{less}\:\mathrm{than}\:\mathrm{20}\:\mathrm{and} \\ $$$$\mathrm{7}−\mathrm{x}\:\mathrm{were}\:\mathrm{more}\:\mathrm{than}\:\mathrm{30}\:\mathrm{years}\:\mathrm{old}. \\ $$$$\left(\mathrm{8}−\mathrm{x}\right)+\mathrm{x}+\left(\mathrm{7}−\mathrm{x}\right)=\mathrm{11} \\ $$$$\mathrm{x}=\mathrm{4} \\ $$
