$$\mathrm{L}\left(25\right)=\mathrm{L}\left(12\right)+1$$ $$=[\mathrm{L}\left(6\right)+1]+1=\mathrm{L}\left(6\right)+2$$ $$=[\mathrm{L}\left(3\right)+1]+2=\mathrm{L}\left(3\right)+3$$ $$=[\mathrm{L}\left(1\right)+1]+3=\mathrm{L}\left(1\right)+4$$ $$=0+4=4$$
