$$f\left(7\right)=f\left(7\times 1\right)=f(7+1)=7$$$$f\left(8\right)=7$$$$f\left(8\right)=f\left(8\times 1\right)=f(8+1)=7$$$$f\left(9\right)=7$$$$f\left(x\right)=f\left(x\times 1\right)=f(x+1)$$$$f(x+1)=f\left(x\right)$$$$\therefore f\left(1008\right)=7$$
