$$(\cos 22+\cos 8)(\cos 22-\cos 8)=$$$$\left(2\cos 15\cos 7\right)(-2\sin 15\sin 7)=$$$$-\sin {30}^{\mathrm{o}}\times \sin {14}^{\mathrm{o}}=-\frac{x}{2}$$
