$$\mathrm{shaded}\mathrm{Area}\mathrm{region}=\frac{1}{2}\pi {\left(3\sqrt{2}\right)}^2-(\frac{1}{4}\pi \left(36\right)-18)$$$$=\frac{18\pi }{2}-\frac{18\pi }{2}+18=18.$$
