$$sayP(x,y)$$$$\Rightarrow A(2x,0)$$$$\Rightarrow B(0,2y)$$$$\frac{1}{2}\times 2x\times 2y=8$$$$\Rightarrow xy=4$$$$\Rightarrow y=\frac{4}{x}$$

$$P(x,y)ismidpointofAB.$$$$x_P=\frac{x_A+x_B}{2}$$$$x_B=0,x_P=x$$$$\Rightarrow x_A=2x$$$$similarly$$$$\Rightarrow y_B=2y$$
