A function f is given by    f(x) =  { ((x^2 −3,  0≤x<2)),((4x−7, 2≤x<4)) :}  is such that f(x) = f(x + 4)   find  f(27) and f(−106).

27=6×4+3  −106=−27×4+2  ⇒  f(27)=f(3)=5  f(−106)=f(2)=1

27=6×4+3106=27×4+2f(27)=f(3)=5f(106)=f(2)=1
