Is it correct? floor(x)=⌊x⌋=[x] floor(x)={n ∣ n∈Z , x−1<n≤x} e.g.... floor(3)=3 floor(3.4)=3 floor(−2.5)=−3 floor(−π)=−4

Isitcorrect?floor(x)=⌊x⌋=[x]floor(x)={n∣n∈Z,x−1<n⩽x}e.g....floor(3)=3floor(3.4)=3floor(−2.5)=−3floor(−π)=−4

For 2≤x<3, ⌊x⌋=2 For −2≤x<−1, ⌊x⌋=−2 ⌊x⌋=n∈Z for n≤x<n+1.

For2⩽x<3,⌊x⌋=2For−2⩽x<−1,⌊x⌋=−2⌊x⌋=n∈Zforn⩽x<n+1.
