59 = 77 − (6 + 3x) + x  2x = 12  x = 6

n(P∪H∪W) = n(P) + n(H) + n(W)  − n(P∩H) − n(H∩W) − n(P∩W) +  n(P∩H∩W)  Given that n(P∪H∪W) = 59 and  a + b + c = 6 so that  n(P∩H) + n(H∩W) + n(P∩W) =  (a + x) + (c + x) + (b + x) = a+b+c+3x  = 3x + 6  and n(P∩H∩W) = x.

n(PHW)=n(P)+n(H)+n(W)n(PH)n(HW)n(PW)+n(PHW)Giventhatn(PHW)=59anda+b+c=6sothatn(PH)+n(HW)+n(PW)=(a+x)+(c+x)+(b+x)=a+b+c+3x=3x+6andn(PHW)=x.
