it seems something missing in the question because in ′if′ part, there is ′>c′ but there is no ′c′ in′prove that′ part.

itseemssomethingmissinginthequestionbecauseinifpart,thereis>cbutthereisnocinprovethatpart.

let f(x)=((ae^x +be^(−x) )/(e^x +e^(−x) )) =((a(e^(2x) +b/a))/(e^(2x) +1))   as b/a < 1 ⇒   f(x)< a  Also f(x)=((ae^x +be^(−x) )/(e^x +e^(−x) )) =((b(e^(−2x) +a/b))/(e^(−2x) +1))  and as  a>b ⇒  f(x)> b .  hence          b < f(x) < a .

letf(x)=aex+bexex+ex=a(e2x+b/a)e2x+1asb/a<1f(x)<aAlsof(x)=aex+bexex+ex=b(e2x+a/b)e2x+1andasa>bf(x)>b.henceb<f(x)<a.
