(1) p=(2/6)×(1/5)=(1/(15)) (2) n=number of black marbles in jar p=(n/(n+4))×((n−1)/(n+3))=(1/7) 3n^2 −7n−6=0 ⇒n=3 ⇒one black marble must be added to the jar. (3) n=number of blue marbles in jar p=(2/(n+3))×(1/(n+2))=(1/3) n^2 +5n=0 ⇒n=0 ⇒all 3 blue marbles must be removed from the jar.
