$$AD=\sqrt{7^2+{24}^2}=25$$$$FC=\sqrt{{25}^2-{15}^2}=20$$$$\frac{HC}{FC}=\frac{FC}{BC}$$$$\Rightarrow HC=\frac{{20}^2}{25}=16$$$$\frac{HF}{HC}=\frac{BF}{FC}$$$$\Rightarrow HF=\frac{16\times 15}{20}=12$$$$\frac{FG}{GD}=\frac{AE}{ED}$$$$\Rightarrow FG=\frac{16\times 7}{24}=\frac{14}{3}$$$$AB=HF+FG=12+\frac{14}{3}=\frac{50}{3}$$

$$\frac{1}{2}\times \mathrm{HF}\times \mathrm{BC}=\frac{1}{2}\times \mathrm{BF}\times \mathrm{FC}$$$$\Rightarrow \mathrm{HF}=\frac{15\times 20}{25}=12$$
