$$\mid \mathrm{\Delta }\overrightarrow{v}{\mid }^2=\mid {\overrightarrow{v}}_f-{\overrightarrow{v}}_i{\mid }^2$$$$=v_i^2+v_f^2-2v_i{v}_f\cos \theta$$$$=v_0^2+v_0^2-2v_0^2\cos \left(\pi /3\right)$$$$=v_0^2$$$$thereforeoption\left(2\right).$$
