$$\mathrm{given}\mathrm{that}\log 2=0.3.\mathrm{show}\mathrm{that}\log 5=0.7$$

$$2\times 5=10$$$$\log \left(2\times 5\right)=\log 10=1$$$$\log 2+\log 5=1$$$$\log 5=1-\log 2=1-0.3=0.7$$
